On the 25th of August 2017, two of my friends and I volunteered to teach SMP students in Kampung Sawah. We printed worksheets and bring the books for them to read English texts. Whenever they identify any difficulties, we help them or tell them what each word means as they are not used to English.  We also taught them how to use proper grammars and tenses.

Values I learned include respect, discipline, and empathy. Discipline was reflected through us being punctual and committed, respect through respecting others and people other than us, and empathy throgh actually sharing and caring. I love sharing to Kampung Sawah students as it makes my heart happy to see them progressing and being able to understand English. The duration of this community service program is an hour, from 3-4.
